Well what a long time since my last post – uni has been very busy!

We’ve done quite a few competitions though, Jet has been fab recently at flyball and picked up her Silver Award (10,000points) in October (gained in July I think); she got some brill presents off the ‘Owlers to say well done. The gift that ranked most highly in Jet’s opinion was her giant (pink, naturally) pig:

We did Sheffield last weekend and Barneys came 3rd in div.1. I captained Eagles who all ran their socks off to come 3rd when they were seeded last, a second behind the top seeds. Jet also saw Kath and despite her escapades of the last few months, she had very little wrong with her – “bomb proof” apparently.

I haven’t had chance to train Jet in agility in months because of uni, but seeing as I’d entered Wilmslow, I thought I may as well go along. Overall she was fab, I was particularly pleased that the harder courses didn’t seem to phase her, and she actually managed to do some good pull throughs too. One thing I have never really tried with Jet (and should much more often!!) is crossing behind her on contacts. I decided to risk it in 3-5 and she coped fine. Yey! Last course of the day was Grade 3 jumping (part 2), a very wide open course. She flew around, just wasted a little bit of time at the flat tunnel where she headed for another jump but the rest was great. She was lying in 3rd for ages, but then a couple of dogs came along (less than 0.1s faster) and she ended up in 6th place. I checked to see where she’d have been in part 1 (cos I’m nosey like that!) – she’d have been in 3rd place. Yey! Good girly.

The best part of the weekend was that Jet got her final points towards her Agility Warrant, so is now Jet Set Go AW(B). She went from 20points to 201 points in the year which isn’t bad considering we don’t do that many shows.

I have NAWS this weekend, will give me chance to really proof her contacts again in the ring and hopefully give her a blast on jumping courses. Then Wyre after that. I do miss her while I’m at uni, and the others too of course, she decided on Friday night that gardening gloves were AWESOMENESS….not quite sure where they came from:

Finally, big Pops has had a very chaotic week! Firstly she cut her leg, and then had a black thorn removed from her leg the poor girl. She’s feeling very sorry for herself, but liking the attention. Oh and laying on my parents bed….you can see her boot on!
